The evening is the perfect time to indulge in fried and lip-smacking snacks right? Be it a tea party or tea time after a long working day, a plate full of fried snacks just makes the evening perfect. Indians love paneer pakoda but a little experiment with it will not harm anyone. In the lockdown, I came across a really interesting recipe, paneer noodle rolls. Well, these rolls are perfect to have with a hot cup of tea.
This is an Indo-Asian dish with cottage cheese cubes wrapped around cooked noodles and deep-fried to the crispy heaven.
Doesn’t it sound amazing combining paneer with your favorite noodle? I am sure this seems to be lip-smacking to you. It is a simple snack recipe that you can try for parties or when you have guests at home and also during rainy days.
So, let’s share the recipe with you:
Ingredients:
- 300 gms paneer
- 2 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder or chili sauce
- to taste salt
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- A pinch of chaat masala
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1/2 tbsp soya sauce
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 1 packet rice noodles
- Desi ghee
Method:
For coating:
- Cut the paneer into thick long pieces
- For coating mix red chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, tomato ketchup with soya sauce and cornflour.
- Make a smooth paste of it. Add a little water to maintain the consistency.
- Now coat the paneer pieces with the paste, cover it completely.
- Let it rest for 15 minutes
Noodles :
- Till the time paneer is left to rest, boil some noodles
- Do not overcook the noodles
- Now carefully roll the noodles over paneer
- Take one piece of paneer and few noodles and roll it in a uniform way
- Do this with every piece of paneer
- Heat some oil in a pan
- Once the oil is ready, place the paneer pieces one by one and fry until golden brown.
Delicious and crunchy paneer rolls are ready.
