European Vaccinated Passengers Can Travel Greece without COVID-19 Tests

Thanos Plevris, the Greek Health Minister has declared that travellers from Europe having vaccine passports will not undergo the COVID-19 test while entering Greece. This latest rule is meant to ease the travel restrictions and will be implemented from the next week onwards to achieve 4.5% economic growth this year. Plevris stated that “As of Monday, those with active European (vaccination) certificates will enter without obligatory testing.”

Additionally, Vassilis Kikilias, the Tourism Minister of Greece has stated that it’s a destination loaded with breath-taking views, unique experiences that give an essence of the Mediterranean so, Greece is all set to welcome tourists from 1st March 2022 onwards. The respective ministers have taken such initiatives to make an all-time record in its cruise ship arrivals this year as Greece hugely banks on its tourism sector which also accounts for a quarter of its economy. 

Greece is home to the historic Greek empire where some of the interesting places are Mykonos, Athens, Santorini, Meteora, Rhodes, and Milos which has attractive views and stories that make it a great place to visit.Â
