Being a foodie, the one thing that I missed during the lockdown was having food outside. All of us missed going to cafes, eating our favorite street food. We understand these are trying times but there is no need to panic. As unlock phases have already started, some eateries and restaurants are opening up with dining out options. Restaurants are strictly following guidelines issued by the authorities. The functional dining places are trying to get over the fear and implementing new measures to ensure social distancing. A lot of changes have been implemented by now and there has been mixed feedback on how dining out is safe. So, here are some ways to stay protected when dining out in corona times:

- Well, you cannot catch a virus through food, the hard surfaces can still be infectious. So be cautious while touching anything in the restaurant.

- Clean spoons before eating and consume it hot
- Do not share your food and spoons
- Stay away from the Air conditioner
- Go for contactless payment
- Avoid touching your hands
- Do research about the restaurant
- Don’t wear gloves instead keep your hands clean
- Sanitize your phone, if you will be using it while eating
- Don’t use your hands for eating
- Say no to the buffet for sometime
- And at last, stay at home if you feel sick
